About Hotel Employers Mutual

Hotel Employers Mutual Ltd (HEM) is a partnership between the Australian Hotels Association (NSW) and Employers Mutual Ltd, providing workers compensation insurance in New South Wales solely to the hospitality industry.

As a specialist insurer for the hospitality industry HEM is able to offer discounted workers compensation insurance to the vast majority of employers within the WorkCover Industry Classifications: Accommodation; and Pubs, Taverns and Bars.

HEM has been set up to benefit its policyholders. Once initial set up costs have been defrayed, the company will accumulate and invest surplus funds to benefit policyholders in the form of education and training, support systems, possible further reduction of premiums or other services as deemed appropriate.

Employers Mutual will manage the operations of HEM.
